Camp Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Campers can be dropped off in their camp room after 8:45 a.m. Camp activities will commence at 9:00 a.m. On the first day of camp instructors will be in the main lobby greeting parents and sharing which room camp will be located in. Please know which camp your child is registered in as there are several camps running concurrently.
Campers can be picked up from their camp room between 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. If you wish to pick up your child prior to 4:00 p.m., please make arrangements with your camp instructor.
Early Drop-Off & Late Pick-Up
There is pre/post supervision available for an additional fee. This program is ideal for parents who need to drop their children off more than 15 minutes before the start of any camp. Morning pre-camp supervision will be held from 7:30 am to 8:45 am in the lunchroom and post-camp supervision will be held from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm.
There will be a $25.00 (+GST) late pick-up fee charged, for every 15 minutes (or portion thereof) beyond the 5:30 pm pick-up time.
Upon registration, you’ll be asked to provide a list of people who are eligible to pick up your child. Only those on the list will be allowed to leave with your child.
Camp Age Requirements
Our camps are designed at an age appropriate developmental level, and we recommend that you book your child into a camp that matches their age.
We welcome campers with special needs; however, our camps are not designed to suit every need. Our camps are active and energetic, and while we do not hire special needs aides, parents are welcome to provide aides for their children.
If your child requires an aide in the classroom, they would benefit from the support of an educational aide at camp as well. Please mention if your child requires any special considerations that may affect his or her camp experience at time of booking.
Sickness & Event of an Accident
Camp Instructors and staff at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton have First Aid Certification and will attend to minor bumps and injuries. In the event of moderate or serious incidents, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately.
If your child is sick and will not be attending camp on a certain day, please call the Bookings Office at 780.451.3344.
Some of our camps do include field trips. If that is the case, you will receive a permission form with all the required information on the first day of your camp.
Please include this information when you register, and it will be passed on to your camp counselor. On the first day of camp, we recommend that you discuss any special considerations (severity of allergy, epi-pen) with your camp instructor.
Camps are designed to be physically and intellectually stimulating for your child, and we recommend that personal electronics remain at home so that they can fully participate in camp activities.
What to Bring to Camp?
Ensure that your child has comfortable, closed toe indoor shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing. Bring a water bottle and a snack, as well as a lunch if you have not pre-ordered lunch.
Purchase your child's lunch for the whole week of camps, so you won’t have to worry about them carrying cash around or having to prepare their lunches. You can even plan your child’s meal for the week by using our handy menu selections. Lunch packages can be purchased at the same time as your camp booking.
Camp Lunch Programs are available exclusively for camp participants.
